Yvonne Conte is an award-winning author, speaker, and storyteller who has spent more than 35 years bringing laughter, joy, and meaningful messages to audiences across the country. She is the author of nine books, including her most personal work, Beneath Her Smile: A Story of Resilience, Truth, and the Courage to Forgive.

Born in Utica, Yvonne spent the first nine years of her life there, and her family has deep roots in the community. Her grandparents and uncle owned restaurants in Utica, and her father built his business there. Many of the people, places, and experiences woven throughout Beneath Her Smile come from those early years.

Today, Yvonne's message has evolved from the healing power of laughter to the healing power of compassion. Through her speaking and writing, she encourages audiences to look beyond appearances, choose compassion over judgment, and remember that we never truly know what another person is carrying.
