Utica On Film: Landmark Moments

Wednesday, May 06, 2026 / 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Join us for a special screening of “Utica on Film: Landmark Moments". This program, presented by Patrick Reynolds, Director for Public Programs at the Oneida County History Center, offers a chance to view rare films and videos that capture iconic moments from Utica’s past! The screening features rarely- seen footage, including the 1932 Centennial Celebration, vintage Utica street trolleys, the grand reopening of the Boston Store, and the bittersweet farewell to the legendary Donalty and Callahan’s Saloon.

WKTV NEWS Channel 2 Meteorologist Eric Gage will also be on hand, sharing historical films from WKTV’s archive and discussing insights into the digitization process. Gage, a Central New York native and SUNY Oneonta graduate, has been instrumental in unearthing and preserving these visual treasures along with WKTV anchor Ben Kinne.

This special event, previously seen at the Oneida County History Center, is at the Utica Public Library on Wednesday, May 6, at 6:00 pm.
