Medicinal Plants of the Mohawk Valley
The Mohawk Valley is rich with diverse wild plant species that thrive in our fields and beneath the understory of our deciduous and coniferous forests. During this gathering we will discuss several wild medicinal and food plants that we can find in the Mohawk Valley including native, naturalized, and invasive species. We will also discuss conservation, sustainable and ethical harvesting, and traditional medicinal uses. Because it’s Spring, there will be a focus on the many Spring ephemerals that can be found in the woodlands right now.
