The Utica Public Library is excited to announce award winning author Jacqueline Woodson will be visiting us on June 11th at 6:00-7:30 pm.

Ms. Woodson has won multiple awards for her writing, such as the Hans Christian Anderson award. This is the highest international award given to one author and one illustrator every other year to recognize their life long achievement of making an important, long lasting contribution to children’s literature. She was the Kennedy Center’s Education Artist-in-Residence in 2022. Her work has been turned into stage plays and concerts for families to enjoy at the Kennedy Center.

There are 30 tickets that will be raffled for this great event. Raffle sign up is at the circulation desk until May 15th. Patrons who have won a ticket will be notified on May 20th.
