Monday, October 16, 2023 / 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Dennis Dewey, volunteer filmmaker for the Oneida County History Center, will present
a screening and discussion of his 2023 film "Mr. Dickens Comes to Utica" at the Utica
Public Library, 303 Genesee Street in Utica at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 16th.

The film recounts the story of Dickens' 1868 performance tour of America---76 cities
from Boston to Philadelphia to Buffalo---and how a weather-related disruption landed
him at Bagg's Hotel in Utica for an overnight stay.

Dennis Dewey will be on hand to answer questions and lead discussion following the
screening of this 38-minute film. The presentation is free and open to the public.
