In recognition of Black History Month
the Utica Public Library will present a lecture,
BLACK FILM STARS: THE TRUE GROUND BREAKERS,
1900 – 1975.
A slideshow will accompany the lecture which will
pay tribute to the black men & women who
broke ground in cinema.

Discover the beautiful, prolific, & talented
men & women who paved the way
for the stars of today.
The event is free to the public
and will include free refreshments & free handouts.
In the event of severe weather, the event
will be rescheduled for May 18th.
At the conclusion of the event there
will be a drawing for free DVD's of
Sidney Poitier's classic film hits.
