Alliance Resource Center - The Alliance is dedicated to building and transferring knowledge related to nonprofit management and governance. In our collaborative approach to disseminate nonprofit management information, we have made available the new Alliance Resource Center (ARC), still under development. You will find here hundreds of resources representing the work of hundreds of organizations, all working to help nonprofit agencies and nonprofit management support professionals manage their businesses more efficiently and effectively. Internet Nonprofit Center - Hosts a large amount of information for and about nonprofits, including a great FAQ on a wide range of topics by subject area (organization, management, regulation, resources, development) and a library of information and data about the sector. Current information draws from many sources and includes a free weekly email newsletter. They also link to the Unified Registration Statement (URS) which is an effort to consolidate the information and data requirements of all states that require registration of nonprofit organizations performing charitable solicitations within their jurisdictions. Internet Public Library - The Internet Public Library (IPL), is a public service organization and learning/teaching environment at the University of Michigan School of Information. They provide library services to Internet users including finding, evaluating, selecting, organizing, describing, and creating information resources; and direct assistance to individuals. They use a learn-by-doing approach to train information professionals and students to work in an increasingly digital environment and to develop technology and best practices for providing library services via the Internet, including digital reference service and collection management.
For example, the IPL books collections includes over 20,000 titles, reprinted in total, and searched by author, title or the Dewey Decimil System. You can also link to nearly every newspaper with online access in the world, hundreds of journals and other media sources.
There is also a special KIDS SPACE and TEEN SPACE, with information links specifically identified for these groups, including a number of special projects. There are a dozen subject area collections and several special collections.

The Learning Institute for Nonprofit Organizations - A comprehensive educational program for nonprofit managers, boards and volunteers delivered through satelitte conferences, online learning or videotapes. Included on this website are the extensive library of free materials including articles, classroom items, tools and links that make this an ideal learning center on nonprofit management. In total, this is an excellent overview of the nonprofit management profession, with extensive learning material resources. It is hosted by The University of Wisconson Extension in collaboration with the Society for Nonprofit Organizations and United Way of America. Nine basic subject areas are covered in depth.
