  • Story Tots-Stories, fingerplays and songs for children ages 1 to 3 (weekly)
  • Preschool Story Time-stories, songs, fingerplays and craft for ages 3 to 5 (weekly)
  • Pajama Story Time-evening stories and craft for ages 3 to 6 (bi-monthly)
  • Saturday Story Time-stories and craft for ages 3 to 6 (once a month)
  • Saturday School Age Programs (subject and schedule varies)
  • Cuentos En Espanol-Spanish stories, activities and refreshments for ages 5 to 8 (once a month)
  • After school programs and workshops (subject, age range and schedule vary)

  • Drop In Craft (monthly during school year, weekly during the summer reading program)

6. Summer Reading Program

  • Summer program designed to encourage reading and library use through the use of incentives and special programs. Highlights include puppet shows, animal programs, special performances and workshops, game days, and story times.

9. Homework Help

  • One-on-one help for children who are having difficulty with homework assignments (subject to availability of staff and volunteers)

  • Certified teachers provide individual help for students having difficulty in school (available when library funds allow)

12. Art and Poetry Contests

  • Held yearly for school age children. Prizes awarded in four age categories.
 

13. Enter-to-Win Prize Drawings

  • Held periodically throughout the year.

 

14. Outreach Services

  • Customized programs provided to area public and private schools, pre-K classes, nursery schools, Head Start classes, day care and after school care programs. Collaborative program services are available to local agencies and organizations, as well.

 

15. Special Collections

  • Includes a Parenting Center, Teacher’s Center, Young Adult fiction, and a foreign language collection.

  • Organized tours, library use and book care programs available by appointment.
